Jenny graduated with a degree in Psychology and Sociology. After training with TEFL Heaven she worked as an English teacher in Thailand.

Moving to a different country on my own was about one of the most daunting things I have ever done. Was I going to like it? Would I make friends? Could I do it? What would people be like? Would I like the food? A thousand questions which made the whole experience seem more daunting than it should.
One of the things I enjoyed most about the programme was the run up to going though the social network. Getting to know people who were on the same trip as me put my mind (and my families!) at rest, meeting everyone at the airport it felt as though I was travelling with long lost friends. Friends which over a year later I am still very close to!
The course was hard but so enjoyable that it didn’t really feel like we were working towards our TEFL qualification... it was too fun to be work!
There is a massive bond between you and the rest of the recruits as you all start the massive adventure together experiencing the wonderful culture, food and people together.
Going into my classrooms I had such a good understanding of what to do that the nerves flew away and the job became one of the most enjoyable jobs I have ever had! There were tough days, however with the network made through the TEFL programme help or a few words of encouragement was never far away! I enjoyed the job so much I ended up staying in the same school for a whole year!
Not only did the course give me the qualifications to teach (and my ‘teacher face’), it opened my mind to so many things, brought out my confidence, and showed me just how fun learning can be both for the teacher and the student!
Would I do it all over again? Yes!
Thank you for the most wonderful experience!
