Our partnerships

We work in partnership with the most prominent official bodies in higher education, and it is these close working relationships that allow us to maintain our status as the UK’s official graduate careers support service. We also enjoy well-established relationships with key figures in the graduate recruitment market and we own The National Council for Work Experience (NCWE), the national body dedicated to improving standards in the provision of work experience.

We are the commercial subsidiary of HECSU (Higher Education Careers Services Unit), a registered charity owned by Universities UK and the Guild HE. HECSU supports the work of higher education careers services in the UK and Republic of Ireland and funds major research projects that benefit the higher education careers sector.

Graduate Prospects and HECSU have a special relationship with Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services (AGCAS). Unlike our commercial competitors, we are not responsible to a body of shareholders but plough our profits back into the higher education system to the benefit of all – careers services, students and graduates, and recruiters.

AGCAS has benefited substantially from charitable donations, which it has received from HECSU, and are used to achieve our common objective: supporting HE careers services and related sectors to maximise the opportunities and support available to all students and graduates throughout their career search.

Graduate Prospects also works with:

  • University for Industry (UFI) and its brand LearnDirect, a government initiative that aims to put individuals in a better position to get jobs and improve their career prospects, and boost business competitiveness.
  • CRAC (the Careers Research Advisory Centre), who we work in partnership with to produce the Prospects Postgraduate Directory, the UK's official guide to postgraduate study.
  • DFES on the Aimhigher Programme (formerly the Excellence Challenge Programme) to increase the number of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds who apply for and enter higher education.
  • HERO (Higher Education and Research Opportunities in the UK), the primary internet portal for academic research and higher education in the UK, of which Graduate Prospects is a member organisation.
  • The British Council’s Education UK website, which allows international students interested in studying for a UK course or qualification access to our unrivalled bank of graduate market information.
  • UCAS and the NUS, who have become our official partners to ensure that we succeed in our Mission: To be the leading UK provider of graduate careers and recruitment solutions.
