Irena is a fully qualified Careers Adviser and a qualified psychological tester. She keeps her professional knowledge up to date through her membership of AGCAS (Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services).
She shares her working time between Graduate Prospects and Imperial College London. At Graduate Prospects, Irena provides feedback on CV’s and job searching strategies, contributes to the Finalist magazine and provides guidance to graduates whose career-related questions span a very wide range of subjects, including psychology, computing and marketing. At Imperial College, she has built up extensive knowledge about working with graduates and postgraduates who wish to enter the engineering, sciences and financial sectors.
Irena is also qualified to deliver and interpret a range of psychometric tests and assessments including the Hogan Personality Inventory.
After her past employment in the pharmaceutical industry and the media industry, she started working life in Higher Education with students in the land-based sector and among other topics had built up expertise of working with graduates and postgraduates entering jobs in international development as well as environmental sectors.
Given this rich tapestry of experience, Irena considers herself “a good all-rounder” with regards to up-to-date knowledge of the diverse job sectors and having had three different careers herself, she believes that you can achieve what you want, if you put your mind to it.
