The School of Health Sciences and Social Care has a strong research ethos informing our teaching, the community and the world around us. By providing research-led teaching the School is a leader in providing health and social care education that contributes to shaping future developments within the health and social care services. Our research feeds into our teaching ensuring the content of programmes remains up-to-date as possible.

Research

With a strong interdisciplinary approach, our research ranges from the micro level (cell and chromosome biology) to the macro level (health and social policy). We currently offer PhD and MPhil predefined or self-chosen projects and a specialist Doctorate in Public Health.
