Who Are We
ICIT, based in Stromness, Orkney is part of the Institute of Petroleum Engienering at Heriot-Watt University. It provides advanced research, MSc and PhD training in renewable energy and marine energy systems.

Providing the Professionals of Tomorrow Three MSc courses Three MSc courses are run from the Orkney Campus:-
• Marine Resource Management
• Renewable Energy Development, also available in Distance Learning
• Marine Renewable Energy

Tackling the Barriers to Renewable
ICIT leads the Marine Renewable Energy Development in Scotland (MREDS) programme: a major programme of research addressing technological, environmental and socio-economic hurdles to the development of marine renewable energy.
