Kingston Law School has been an established and growing centre of law teaching for 40 years. Our wide range of law degrees gives an excellent start for a career in law and in many other legal aspects of business as well as many other careers; in a friendly, productive and supportive law school.
We offer a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses across a variety of legal fields. Our range of courses caters for students looking to undertake a qualifying law degree, enhance skills within a certain legal field or study law as part of a combination with another subject. Additionally we also have an established Law PhD programme with dedicated facilities, lifelong learning opportunities and continuous professional development. Many of our courses are recognised by professional bodies, illustrating their quality and relevance in today's world.
We have close links with many local and national law firms who sponsor various activities. Several members of the judiciary, together with leading legal practitioners, act as visiting professors, fellows and visitors to the School, enabling students to integrate into the wider legal community. The full-time staff include many legal scholars whose research and publications place them in the forefront of legal learning and whose legal teaching has led to an award of National Teaching Fellow.

Flexible study options
The Faculty takes a student-centred approach to learning. Postgraduate courses are designed to allow maximum flexibility by offering you part-time options and the opportunity to complement and reinforce your study with learning in the workplace. The study commitment varies depending on which course you take, with many of our courses available for part-time evening or afternoon/evenng study, and some on an open-learning weekend attendance basis.
Location
Our attractive, landscaped campus is situated just outside the large town centre of Kingston upon Thames and is only 25 minutes by train into central London. Historic Richmond Park, Kew Gardens, Hampton Court Palace and the Surrey countryside are nearby, while Heathrow and Gatwick airports are easily accessible by rail or road, and London's Eurostar offers a fast rail link to Europe.
Excellent facilities and resources
The University has made significant investments in modern equipment and facilities to make your learning environment as up to date and effective as possible. Each of our campuses has a Learning Resources Centre (LRC) on site, offering you access to a total of 425,000 books, 2,200 printed and 45,000 electronic journals, as well as study areas with clusters of PCs and a wireless network for laptop use.

You will also have access to StudySpace, our online learning tool designed to give you the flexibility to choose where and when you study.
