The School of Computing, Engineering and Information Sciences (CEIS) at Northumbria University enjoys a strong reputation for the quality of its teaching and the expertise of its staff. We have a thriving postgraduate community and place great emphasis on supporting our students through regular contact, tutorials and personal tutoring. We also provide a virtual interactive learning environment for delivering learning materials, facilitating discussions, sharing opinions and experience, and maintaining a supportive learner-tutor network.

MSc Renewable and Sustainable Technologies - new for 2012

Engineers looking to pursue a career in a rapidly developing renewable and sustainable energy sector can now study a specialist MSc programme that will appeal to mechanical, electrical and civil engineers and will provide a thorough grounding in wind, solar and geothermal energy, biomass and hybrid energy systems. Integrated Masters - new for 2012

We offer Master of Engineering (MEng) courses in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering that satisfy the educational requirements for Chartered Engineer Status. Students on the integrated programmes may apply for funding for the full programme from Student Finance England; paying fees back after graduation and securing employment.
