Details
We are one of the largest and most successful academic groups in the world devoted to this discipline. Our international reputation was recognised in the latest Research Assessment Exercise and we obtained the maximum score of 24 points in the HEFCE Assessment of our Quality of Teaching.

Control Systems (Full Time)
Control Systems (Full Time) leads to an MSc, Postgraduate Diploma or Certificate and is taught over one year. This continually evolving postgraduate course has been running for over 30 years, attracts graduates from many scientific disciplines and has the support of the UK EPSRC - Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council.

Research Degrees
PhD and MPhil projects are available in a wide variety of multi-disciplinary research areas. Research can be carried out in either of our two major research theme areas: “Intelligent Systems and Control” and “Complex Systems, Signal Processing and Control”. Much of our research is carried out in our research centres in co-operation with major companies such as Rolls-Royce and BAE Systems.

Entry Requirements and Funding
For the full time MSc, applicants should normally have or expect to achieve an upper second class honours degree (2.1) in an engineering or science subject from a recognised institution. For research, a minimum of a 2.1 is required. Studentships may be available (subject to availability) to UK/EU applicants for MSc and research. These pay the tuition fees (UK/EU students) and maintenance grant (UK only).
