Why choose Warwick Business School?
Warwick Business School has an excellent global reputation as a leader in business research and teaching. We were the first UK business school to gain the key accreditations from EQUIS, AACSB and AMBA. Full re-accreditation in 2005, maintains our membership of a small and elite group of international business schools with this triple accolade. Research excellenceOne of only three business schools to gain the highest 5* rating for excellence in international research, we achieved this with the highest number of faculty submitted for assessment by a UK business school. 165 teaching and research faculty members provide both broad and in-depth subject coverage. As well as covering the full range of business subjects, we have 16 specialist research centres working with industry and the public sector. WBS is research-led and this focus allows us to feed the latest findings of world-leading academics directly into our teaching. Our strong links with industry ensure that our research and teaching are practically relevant. International influenceGlobal business requires international research and knowledge transfer. Over one third of our faculty come from outside the UK or have worked abroad. Half of our 4,500 student population are citizens of over 100 different countries. This diversity presents a valuable opportunity for you to work with an international mix of students, sharing experiences and learning about different nationalities and cultures. Our teaching also has a strong international focus - we research, consult, and train with international blue chip companies, providing global elements in course content and real life business case studies. Life at Warwick
WBS is a department of the University of Warwick. We are situated in a unique and beautiful parkland campus in the heart of England but still only 60 minutes by train from London and close to Birmingham, Coventry and Stratford-upon-Avon. Our lively campus is virtually self-contained and provides a huge range of social, sporting and cultural activities. The UK's largest Students' Union offers a varied entertainment programme and hundreds of student societies and sports clubs. Campus accommodation for postgraduate students consists of modern, comfortable rooms, mostly en-suite, and with high speed internet and network access. The residences are situated in pleasant, green surroundings, close to all the facilities of main campus. Teaching, learning and resourcesYour learning will be supported by the vast resources and facilities of WBS and the University. The library holds about 1 million printed titles and 16,000 electronic journals and offers resources including study seating, silent reading room, group study rooms and PC clusters. The new Learning Grid area provides students with a unique 24/7 relaxed learning environment for individual or group study, with an impressive range of multimedia equipment and resources. Additional IT facilities include dedicated computer rooms, and Wi-Fi hotspots in a range of public and communal areas around the University. At WBS we use a variety of teaching methods to keep your learning fresh and interesting, which may include case studies, guest lectures, videos, individual and group project work, and interactive simulations. "Before I arrived at WBS, I expected there to be some sort of online system to integrate aspects of my degree together, but in no way did I expect the kind of extremely professional, practical, and comprehensive system that my.wbs provides.
