As the longest-standing travel franchise in the UK, we’re on a mission to strengthen our global community of over 2,000 travel experts with some of the brightest and best young talent, so we’re re-launching our Academy Scholarship Programme for 2024.
We’re giving away up to ten places on our Scholarship programme worth £10,000 each. Our Travel Academy is designed to help people with no industry experience launch their own Travel Counsellors franchise on a full-time basis.
As a Travel Counsellor, you'll run a home-based travel business, crafting unforgettable, bespoke trips for your customers. Best of all, there are no sales targets, your earnings are 100% uncapped, and you have the freedom to work from wherever you like!

You’ll be part of a worldwide community of travel experts – although you’ll work remotely, there are plenty of opportunities to meet other franchisees in person, including supplier events, fam trips, training sessions, anniversary days, and our flagship annual conference.
You’ll also have access to industry-leading support as well as our wellbeing services. From a 24/7 duty office to deal with any issues during your customers’ travels, to one-on-one guidance from our ILM-qualified business coaches, marketing workshops and professional counselling – we’ll be there for you every step of the way.
What we are looking for
This is a self-employed opportunity, so we’re looking for candidates who are driven, ambitious and have a genuine passion for travel. It’s important that you can commit to your franchise on a full-time basis - the hours you work are flexible and up to you, but you need to dedicate time to be a success.
We expect Travel Counsellors to be passionate about providing the outstanding customer service that we’re known for, by going above and beyond for their customers and showing care and attention to detail at every stage of the process - from enquiring to travelling, and even after returning home.

- Be graduating this year, or have graduated in the last 4 years
- Understand that you’ll be running your own business full-time, on a commission-only basis

How to apply
You will have until Tuesday 30th April 2024 to submit your application and business plan.
Shortlisting will take place between 1st and 3rd May. Your business plan will be assessed by our panel using our scoring matrix.
Initial interviews will take place online between 7th and 10th May. This will be a 30-minute Q&A , so that we can get to know you and your business idea better.
Final interviews will take place between 20th and 27th May. You will be invited to our head office in Manchester to pitch your travel business.
Successful candidates will be added to the induction and training programme (date to be agreed) and will launch their businesses by the end of summer.
