Programme Details/Career Development
In joining one of our UK based facilities, you have the potential to pursue a career within Caterpillar as challenging and varied as you want to make it.
We operate an established and well-structured graduate scheme of 18-24 months duration; offering graduates the opportunity to experience a number of different areas of the business to develop their skills and knowledge effectively.
On the graduate scheme you will perform placements in different departments and functions in order to provide you with a range of experience and knowledge, to give you an excellent grounding within the organisation. In order to guide you on this journey, from Day 1, you will be assigned a mentor to help you get the most out of the graduate scheme and shape your future career with us.

As an organisation we can support you towards achieving a professional qualification within your chosen discipline. For engineers who are looking to become chartered, our graduate scheme is aligned with the MPDS programme and we will pay your fees whilst you are working towards this goal.
Work Placements
Our Industrial Placement scheme offers students the chance to take on a role with real responsibility to gain high-quality experience, as well as giving you an excellent chance of returning to the organisation as a graduate.

During your 12 months with us we will give you the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge effectively and allow you to make the most of your year away from University.
