Essar Oil & Gas, a subsidiary of Essar Energy, is an end-to-end player in the oil & gas sector - from exploration to refining and retail. All its refineries are currently undergoing capacity enhancement through technology upgrades.

The Essar Oil (UK) Ltd refinery at Stanlow in Cheshire employs 1,000 people and processes up to 11 million tonnes of crude oil every year approximately 25,000 litres per minute. We produce around 4,000 million litres of petrol per year, covering one sixth of Britain's transport fuel needs. In addition, we also produce diesel, jet fuel,and other oil and chemical products.

Graduate Roles
Our graduate engineering and technology roles are competitively paid and provide you with an opportunity to move around different areas of refinery equipment, projects and technology.

Internships

• 8 week paid summer engineering and technology internships. These are open to students currently in their penultimate year. You will be supported throughout with clear goals and deliverables, as well as the chance of securing a permanent position with us after graduation.
• A two day engineering and technology course (residential) during the winter vacation. This is open to students who will be in their penultimate year in December 2013 and may lead to an offer of summer internship in 2014.

Requirements
If you are studying an MEng degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, are on course for a 2.1 or above and are looking for hands-on experience at one of the UK's largest refineries, we want to hear from you.

Summer internships are paid between £17,500 and £21,500 pro rata depending on year of study.
