Company profile

The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) is the international qualifying and Membership body for the Chartered Secretary profession with a global community of 37,000 Members.

Our Chartered Secretaries qualifying scheme (CSQS) is the most broad-based qualifying scheme available comprising eight modules including corporate governance, corporate law, accounting and corporate secretarial practice.

Our qualifying scheme offers:

  • The opportunity to work in a variety of roles from company secretary to chief executive
  • A fast-track to the boardroom
  • An internationally recognised qualification
  • The skills and creativity to allow you to work across a variety of sectors
  • Top earning potential – the base salary for a top company secretarial job in a FTSE 100 company averaged £160,000 in 2010.

Anyone can register for the scheme and those with certain qualifications in law or accountancy may be exempt from some modules and can fast-track through the scheme. You can study via a variety of routes including self-study, distance learning, full-time or part-time tuition.
