The NHS Graduate Management Training Scheme runs every year; lasting up to two years (Finance 2½ years) it has been explicitly designed to create the organisation's future leaders. It consists of four specialisms: Finance Management, General Management, Human Resources Management, and Health Informatics Management. Graduates specialise in one of these areas, acquiring relevant professional qualifications along the way.

Working for NHS will often mean standing up to high levels of public scrutiny and having decisions closely inspected; graduates will need to be tenacious and resilient and able to respond to an ever changing environment whilst keeping patient care at the heart of what the NHS do.

The Graduate Management Training Scheme offers a fast-track route to a senior-level role. As such, it’s a uniquely demanding experience. To succeed you will need the confidence to tackle complex problems head on and the intelligence to contribute new ideas but above all, the desire to make a difference to patient’s lives.
