In 1984 Nissan Motor Manufacturing UK Ltd (NMUK) decided to set up shop in Sunderland. Not long after Nissan Technical Centre Europe (NTCE), our centre for design and development was established at Cranfield. Now, 25 years later, following increasing success and rising prestige we’re firmly established as the biggest car plant in the UK. We’re also recognised as being one of the most productive in Europe and have become a European Centre of Excellence.
From our groundbreaking electric car, the Nissan LEAF, to high demand vehicles such as the Qashqai, Juke and Note, every 1 in 3 new cars built in the UK comes from our Nissan Sunderland plant. A fact we’re really proud of, and as we’ve secured manufacturing contracts for the foreseeable future, as one of our graduates, you can be proud of securing a pretty stable career here too.
Due to the hard work and commitment from all the team both here at Sunderland and at Cranfield we are used as a blueprint for new plants around the world which means there could be opportunities to travel to share our working practices.
At the moment, we employ around 5,400 people in a wide range of different roles, from Engineers to Accountants and from IT to HR. But we’re always looking for fresh talent. So, if you’re passionate and ambitious - join our innovative team. You’ll gain valuable industry experience, receive superb training and be supported to develop and progress your career.
We’re looking for Graduates in the following areas:
Engineering
Quality Assurance
Operations Management/Supply Chain Management
Purchasing
Human Resources
Information Systems/IT
In each you’ll receive real responsibility, gain exposure to every aspect of your department and be able to develop a broader insight into our business as a whole. So, what are you waiting for?
