Company profile

What does RM Education do? We deliver technology that enables inspiring, engaging teaching and learning.

If you're not already familiar with RM Education, take a closer look; you'll be impressed with the calibre of our employees, the company values that we live and breathe, and the passion we share for improving the teaching and learning of young people.

After all, we were the highest overall scoring IT Company in Britain's Top IT Employer for 2012.

Whilst we're large enough with 2000 employees to offer stimulating challenges and a progressive career, we still retain a very open, close-knit environment. This ensures that our annual intake of just 20-25 graduates are given significant individual focus and real responsibility from day one.

RM Education has been helping teachers to teach and learners to learn for nearly 40 years. We develop, manufacture, install and manage hardware, software, IT networks and services and classroom resources all specially designed for schools to help deliver inspiring engaging learning. Schools and local authorities outsource their IT to RM Education and we also provide systems that help mark exam papers, deliver school performance data and enable access to learning platforms from home or school.

We're proud that we've done some really cool things over the years, including creating the world's first PC solely for schools, providing innovative cloud-based curriculum software and delivering regional & national IT managed services, where success is measured by improving educational outcomes. But we don't rest on our laurels. We're particularly excited by the continual challenge to inspire a rising population of discerning, tech-savvy learners who are growing up on a diet of iPads, Xbox 360s, smartphones, 3D TV and ultra-fast broadband.

Staff also relish the unique company culture, which combines the intellectual and commercial problem solving you'd expect in a dynamic, results-focused business, with the sense of 'making a difference' that's very much in our DNA. It's true that the majority of 'RM'ers' join us having never worked in education before, but whether you're in sales, marketing, IT, operations, project management or any other area, the sense of doing something that really matters is definitely tangible and maybe even contagious.

In addition to achieving, or being on track to achieve a 2:1 or first class degree in any discipline and at least 260 UCAS tariff points or equivalent, we're looking for individuals who are self-motivated and have a positive, proactive and team-centric approach. In return we offer

  • a competitive starting salary (reviewed twice in your first year),
  • a broad range of benefits (including relocation assistance, a bonus, and a laptop / iPad),
  • training & industry-recognised qualifications,
  • structured career and personal development
  • and most importantly, a really great place to spend your working week.
