Mohamud Amin is currently studying the Msc Hand Therapy, online.

"The MSc Hand Therapy has changed my work for the better. I've learnt critical appraisal skills and can now confidently evaluate every aspect of my work so I can obtain the best evidence available. I've also gained knowledge and skills in the clinical area of hand therapy.

I found the staff very helpful and was able to communicate with them through telephone, email, Skype and UDo (University of Derby Online), whenever I needed support with my learning. Being a full time employee, the distance learning programme suited me. However, the course demands a lot of personal commitment and focus. I would recommend the University of Derby."

Nosheen's lecturer commented:

"Nosheen is a very determined young woman. I'm delighted she's used the cross discipline experience of the MA in Art and Design so positively in her new career. In an increasingly competitive global market Nosheen is an example of the value of a rounded education."

Harveen Dhamrait

Harveen Dhamrait is 23 and currently studying MSc Management. She graduated with a BSc (Hons) IT and decided to continue her education to masters level as she wanted to get more experience in this field.

"The knowledge and experience that I have gained during the MSc Management course have made me a lot more confident. I was a very shy person at the beginning of this course but now I have the confidence to face large audiences and speak!

I was very unsure about whether I should continue my studies at masters level. I'm very pleased I made the right decision - I would have missed so much in life if I hadn't done this course."

Geraldine Grindley from Ireland, studied the PG Cert Clinical Supervision online.

"My tutor was great. She was always there when I emailed her or went on the discussion forums.

The benefit of studying online was that everything was at your finger tips - I didn't have to go to a library and look for articles, all my reading material was online and I could just pick it up at any point. I could work at my own pace and read on ahead or go back to something if I felt I needed to."
