FAQs: Will a foundation degree satisfy the entry requirements for a PGCE?

The standard entry requirement for Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) courses is an honours degree, so you would usually need to take the additional top-up course to gain an honours degree level qualification before being accepted onto a PGCE course. However, individual initial teacher training (ITT) providers do have a lot of autonomy, so it is worth contacting the admissions tutor of your potential ITT provider to check.
