• Some UK-based employment agencies deal with international vacancies or have branches abroad, including in France. Check the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) consultancy finder for lists of approved UK agencies and then contact the agency to see if they have jobs abroad.

According to the Pole Emploi (French national employment agency) website, one in five jobs in France are gained through speculative applications (candidatures spontanées). Also, search the Pages Jaunes for companies in your chosen career area. The Pôle Emploi website has an Action Guide on how to approach companies speculatively.
