Anglo-Spanish Society Scholarship Programme

Award details
Founded in 1919 and re-established in 1958, the Anglo-Spanish Society, a UK registered charity, is a non-profit organisation managed by an elected Executive Council with the support of Trustees. Its objectives are to promote friendship and understanding between the peoples of Britain and Spain through the knowledge of each other’s customs, institutions, history and way of life. The Society is proud to be able to provide a number of grants to support university students (undergraduate and postgraduates ), whose studies or research projects are related to the bilateral relationship between the United Kingdom and Spain, in any area of academic interest.
Eligibility
Applicants must be United Kingdom or Spanish nationals who have been accepted at the University of their choice and are either at their final year of undergraduate level or postgraduate level; or mature students seeking to extend their qualifications. Successful applicants will be asked to submit a short article on their research and experiences for publication in the Society’s Quarterly Review.

Award value
Grants can include allowances for research materials, travel, academic fees and, where appropriate, accommodation. Each grant will be of the order of £3,000, with a likely maximum of £4,500 in special cases.
