The Leeds International Pianoforte Competition is a member of the World Federation of International Music Competitions. It was founded in 1961 and since then has developed to become the world’s greatest piano competition producing prizewinners who have gone onto successful international careers.
Award purpose
To award competitors accepted in the first stage of the competition.

Open to candidates who are accepted to perform in the first stage of the competition.
