Award details
Each year Swansea University offers around 350 postgraduate scholarships with a total value of around £2.5 million. Full research scholarships are available to students from the UK and EU wishing to undertake a full-time PhD in selected subject areas; these are advertised throughout the academic year at Studentships cover UK/EU tuition fees and provide an annual maintenance grant in the region of £13,590. Swansea has a vibrant postgraduate community of more than 2,000 students, who work with some of the world’s most talented academics and benefit from world-class facilities. Our postgraduate programmes are enhanced by links with external bodies from industry and the public sector as well as international bodies and research organisations. As one of the UK’s leading Universities for collaborative research with industry, Swansea offers vocationally relevant programmes which give students the knowledge and skills employers demand. Our students have the opportunity to carry out industry-linked research projects and undertake work placements, and staff from the Careers Service are on hand to help postgraduate students develop their skills. Our 91% graduate employment rate is testament to our success.
