An exciting opportunity has arisen for a engineering graduate to train as a Proposals Engineer to join our growing proposals team. The Graduate Proposals Engineer will provide clients with professional bids which are technically compliant and commercially competitive and to work as part of a team to ensure on time bid submission.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Ensure all the bids are handled in accordance with client requirements
• Work with the Technical Specialists to create and compile technical specifications to a level and accuracy required to support the specific bid
• Set deadlines to achieve submission dates and plan and organise workload to ensure that all deadlines are achieved
• Compile commercial quote documents to support the bid
• Ensure bids are reviewed by the appropriate team
• Ensure a high standard of professionalism is maintained and that customer care is at the forefront
• Assist and provide input in the development of systems and improvement in working practices and processes
• When requested, attend Bid Clarification Meetings with Client and respond with revised tender or clarifications as requested by Client
• Review clients PO and chair hand-over meeting to projects department
• Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in the work area and department
• Ensure personal compliance with all HSE legislation and HSE Company policy
• Be fully familiar and fully conversant with department and company policies, procedures and processes, ensuring all work and actions undertaken are in full compliance at all times
• Support other departments and carry out other duties as and when business requirements dictate as may be reasonably expected by line manager

Qualification and experience requirements

Essential:
BEng in Mechanical Engineering

Preferred:
MEng in Mechanical Engineering
