Job description

The focus of the Associate Consultant role is to deliver candidates to strategic assignments across the markets/sectors we cover including Investment Banking, Financial Services, Management Consultancies and Oil and Gas. You will work on a variety of search assignments and strategic projects across multiple business areas. Driving candidate generation and gathering competitive intelligence, you will support our consultants in their delivery to our clients' requirements. You will be working towards specific milestones to ensure your progression and promotion to a Consultant within the first year.

Duties:

  • Undertaking research to locate candidates through interviewing, telephone referencing and taking qualitative views from market sources.
  • Identifying top industry performers and talent pools
  • Market mapping
  • Assistance in executing mandates through candidate identification, qualification and interview
  • Pre-pitch/origination researching and due diligence
  • Formulating competitor analysis
  • Telephone referencing to gather additional information on candidates and companies
  • Developing strong network of market sources
  • Developing broad understanding of your specialist market including Banking, Insurance, Financial Services or our new Oil and Gas market.

Person requirements

  • Graduate calibre
  • Sales experience preferred
  • Pro-active and able to filter useful information from online sources
  • An understanding of and interest in the financial markets.
  • Experience working in a team orientated environment
  • Confident, articulate communicator both by telephone and face to face
  • Entrepreneurial: engages with team and creates solutions
  • Intelligent and naturally inquisitive
  • Well organised, structured and disciplined
  • High levels of drive and influence
