Job description

The role will involve a wide range of professional activities, principally development related viability assessments. Immediate entrance onto the APC will be provided.

Person requirements

BPS are looking to employ a Real Estate Management graduate, to start in summer/autumn 2013. Candidates must be:

  • Graduate (or due to graduate this summer) with a RICS-accredited (cognate) degree.
  • Interested in development and planning
  • Highly numerate (including good Excel skills)
  • Possess good report writing skills

BPS is a leading niche practice specialising in providing property advice to mainly local authorities and the public sector, primarily development related and concerning the viability of proposed developments. Our overall activities include:

  • Development consultancy including viability assessments, market research, analysis and feasibility studies
  • Preparation of marketing and development briefs.
  • Sales, re-gearing and other negotiations
  • Negotiating procurement, development agreements and S106 Agreements
  • Negotiating and monitoring developers obligations / securing overage provisions
  • We also provide a range of call off services to some of our clients including Landlord & Tenant work and Red Book valuations.

Qualification and experience requirements

Graduate (or due to graduate this summer) with a RICS-accredited (cognate) degree.
