Job description

Dorset Software creates bespoke software development solutions that enable private and public sector customers to realise significant competitive advantages. In order to ensure that our solutions continue to meet, and often exceed, customer expectations we need bright and enthusiastic graduates to join our testing team.

If you like attention to detail, have an inquisitive mind, are self-motivated and relish trying to break things a career in software testing is ideal for you! No previous experience is needed as you will be trained in our testing methodology and any tools and technologies you will need.

After an initial period learning basic programming skills, you will gain experience of testing a wide range of technologies and software solutions including C#, ASP.net and SQL, intranets, database applications and systems migrations.

You'll work closely with our programming and network and infrastructure teams and with our clients, developing solutions for our impressive client base of blue-chip and public sector organisations including RM Education, Waitrose and Woking Borough Council.

Person requirements

You will need:

  • A passion for technology and a motivation to develop a career in a new area.
  • A willingness to travel and work at client sites across the UK.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Qualification and experience requirements

A minimum 1st or 2:1 undergraduate degree or a PhD in a Maths, Science, Engineering or Computing subject.
