This is an exciting opportunity for a people-focused Customer Engagement Officer to join Groundwork South at this important time. We are a charity that aims to create better neighbourhoods, build skills and job prospects and helping people live and work in a greener way.
Working with Southern Water, Groundwork and our team of Green Doctors have set out to encourage customers to take advantage of the benefits of a water meter. As the Customer Engagement Officer, you will be a key support in the delivering of the Southern Water UMP Programme and other projects.
22.5 and 37 hour positions available
As part of the role, you’ll be expected to attend community events to engage with customers, answering questions they may have about the metering programme. You’ll be responsible for promoting the metering programme, putting up street signage to inform residents when it has arrived in their area, delivering information packs and going door-to-door to engage with customers and make appointments for them with our Green Doctors.
You’ll be on site on meter installation days, as the key contact and liaison for customers, reassuring them in the transition period and offering them further advice on being more water and energy efficient. You’ll play a key role in supporting customers and other teams on an ad-hoc basis.
You’ll need strong people, communication and organisation skills. You’ll be expected to feedback at all stages of the project on areas including hazards, as well as keeping personal records updated and producing reports using our systems.
