Job description

ICIS have an exciting opportunity available for a Global Product Development Executive to join our team. In this role you will be engaging with customers, championing new product ideas, and managing the launch of subscription and data products. The role features a competitive salary and performance related bonus.

The core responsibilities within this role are:

  • Contributing and capturing ideas for the new product pipeline
  • Engaging with customers through research, including desk and field research
  • Identifying data and analysis needs to develop new product solutions
  • Delivering completed research findings with recommendations, a business case and commercial projections to the management group Managing key stakeholders; product management, editorial, sales, marketing, customer service and IT teams, in the delivery of new product launches whilst ensuring projects are aligned to their launch plans
  • Monitoring new product performance post launch until sales targets are met
  • Analysing competitor activity and preparing monthly competitor reviews
  • Undertaking strategic research to support management decisions
  • Supporting processes to analyse and manage the current product portfolio

The position is based in central London and reports into the Global Product Development Manager who is based in Sutton. You will be collaborating with colleagues internationally, in London, Houston, New York, Singapore and Shanghai.

Person requirements

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • You will have proven experience of research or marketing and have good commercial acumen.
  • You will demonstrate an understanding of how to conduct effective market research and translate this into a deliverable product to help drive revenue opportunities.

The successful candidate will have good analytical abilities to understand complex markets, and be able to write and present clear recommendations to senior management executives.

You will need to be a self-starter and be capable of managing several projects adhering to deadlines. You will have the confidence to establish new relationships, as well as maintain existing relationships with external and internal parties. A second language and experience of the energy industry are desirable but not essential. Fundamental to this role is the ability to learn quickly and the desire to provide best in class products and services to customers.
