Online retailer Amazon is creating 100 jobs at its Digital Media Development Centre in London, just four months after the hubs official opening 09/01/2013

News of the expansion echoes the words of Boris Johnson, Mayor of London, when he commented in September 2012 that Amazon's new tech hub would be 'key in driving the capital's economy and helping to create jobs and growth'.

The eight floor centre is set to double its workforce, as it currently employs 100 staff and is home to the development and design teams for Amazon's Pushbutton and LOVEFiLM companies.

The world-renowned giant will be recruiting graphic designers, software development engineers and user interface experts.

Managing director of the London centre, Paula Byrne, said, 'We have always known that there is a wealth of tech talent here in London and we continue to look for the most creative minds in the UK.'

Byrne added, 'There has never been a more exciting time in the technology world, with constant innovation resulting in exceptional experiences for consumers and we are looking for 100 new recruits to play an integral part in the future of Amazon's digital offering.'
