Latest news: Getting into fashion

The Fashion Network (TFN) is running events to inspire young people towards careers in the industry. 08/03/2012

Starting in March, TFN will be hosting six events in Manchester covering all aspects of the industry.

Industry professionals that have been in a graduate position will answer your questions, revealing what it’s really like to work within the world of fashion whilst describing in detail the highs and lows involved in securing your dream job.

‘TFN have decided to generate this series of events to inform students and graduates on the skills required of them when stepping into the industry,’ said Dale Hicks, managing director of TFN. ‘The series will close with a recruitment day bringing both employer and graduates together,’ Hicks added.

The Future Generation Series will include speakers from companies such as: Boohoo.com; MissGuided; Gola; Rare Clothing; Umbro as well as up and coming designers like Lisa Stannard and Martine Alexander. There is also appearances from respected fashion figures such as Joanna Davies of BlackWhiteDenim and one of the UK’s most followed bloggers, DisneyRollerGirl.
