Latest news : Graduate IT jobs with FDM Group

FDM Group, an IT services provider and currently the largest IT graduate employer in the UK, is tackling the IT skills shortage through postgraduate IT specialism and experience, bridging the gap between university and employment.

FDM recently announced they have doubled their graduate intake to 500 in 2010, which is 2.5 times more than IBM, 25 times more than Microsoft and 200 more graduates than Accenture in the UK. The company has a working relationship with over 120 UK universities and plan to visit over 50 graduate fairs throughout October and November in hope to recruit the best graduates across the UK into the FDM Academy.

FDM is responsible for launching the IT careers of over 2000 individuals to date through its award-winning Academy, winning the silver award for ‘Training Department of the Year’ at the Institute of IT Training Awards 2010. The company also secured 15th place in the Top 50 IT Training Companies, being one of only three companies in the top 15 to make a profit in revenue since 2009.

As a thriving and expanding company, FDM are also nominated for a handful of awards over the next few weeks, including ‘Best Graduate Training Programme’ and ‘Best Technical Graduate Recruiter’ at the National Graduate Recruitment Awards 2010.

This is exciting news for the IT Company, who has just recently extended their services across Europe, USA and Asia, and launched a new Project Management and Business Analysis training stream in March this year.

Real Business comments: ‘The FDM Academy is one of the most respected training facilities for IT graduates in the UK. If the future is information technology, FDM will provide the schooling’.

Andy Brown, Global Sales Director at FDM comments: ‘The growth we have experienced, even in tough economic times, is a true reflection on the talent, dedication and focus of all FDM employees and the ability FDM has in adapting and reacting rapidly to the changes in demand for IT skills globally, extending our business reach in Europe, USA and Asia’.
