Hotel group Hilton Worldwide is set to recruit 1,500 new staff over the next few months as part of its expansion plans. 30/11/2011
A range of roles will be available to graduates in the hospitality sector, including hotel managers, marketing executives, concierges and chefs.
The chain plans to open 20 new hotels in the UK, safeguarding a further 1,900 jobs. Hilton Worldwide will also be recruiting in European destinations, with particular growth expected in Russia, Turkey and Germany.
‘With continued growth across our European estate, driving the talent agenda is paramount to our recruitment strategy. We are seeking passionate people interested in hospitality careers with a range of experiences as well as transferable skills from backgrounds outside the hospitality industry,’ said Ben Bengougam, vice-president of European human resources at Hilton Worldwide.
Graduates working for the company can expect excellent training opportunities. Hilton Worldwide was voted one of the Sunday Times’ Best Companies to Work For in 2011 and it operates a fast-track graduate programme called Elevator, which nurtures staff through an 18-month programme into their first management positions with the company.
‘While unemployment figures in Europe continue to rise, Hilton Worldwide is experiencing an exciting period of growth which will see us continue to offer a wealth of rewarding career options,’ said Simon Vincent, European area president.
