Graduates hoping to secure places on teacher training courses starting in Autumn 2010 still have one last chance to apply.
From 30 June until the end of the application cycle in September, those looking for places on teacher training courses this year can enter the Graduate Teacher Training Registry’s (GTTR) Clearing system and apply to training providers that still have vacancies left to fill.
All applications to the GTTR received after 30 June will be automatically entered into the Clearing system. Graduates who applied for teacher training earlier this year, but haven’t yet secured a place on a course will also be entered into Clearing.
Through the Clearing system, applicants can contact training providers with vacancies to find out if they can be considered for places on courses beginning this year. Before contacting any training providers through Clearing, prospective teachers should look at the latest course and vacancy information on the Graduate Teacher Training Registry (GTTR) to find out which providers still have vacancies on courses of interest to them.
Applicants who accept a place through Clearing are committed to take up this place and cannot apply to any other training providers in the current application cycle.
