Latest news : Law Society careers event

The Law Society is hosting an event that aims to prepare students for a career in the solicitors’ profession.

The event, which takes place at The Law Society’s Hall, London, on 21st October is targeted at undergraduates, and aims to cover all aspects of preparation for a career in the solicitors’ profession.

Representatives from across the legal profession will address students through a series of talks and lectures, giving tips on how you can increase your chances of success of entering the sector. Delegates will also be given an insight into the alternative career options offered by different types of employers within the legal profession.

‘This is your chance to hear from a series of industry experts, which includes graduate recruiters, trainee solicitors and senior partners providing tips on how to write your CV, cover letters, application forms and interview techniques, the realities of the Legal Practice Course and beyond,’ says Rita Oscar, Membership Development Executive at the Law Society.

Founded in 1834, The Law Society represents solicitors in England and Wales. The organisation exists to protect and promote solicitors, negotiating with, and lobbying regulators and government. They also offer training and advice.

The event is free to all students. For more information and for news on other events, visit the Law Society.
