Latest news: Postgraduate funding database launched

Graduate Prospects has partnered with The Grants Register to launch the first national postgraduate funding database, making it easier for students to access funding information. 05/04/2011

Prospects Postgraduate Funding Database will offer 1,200 opportunities from universities, charities, foundations, societies and trusts, improving accessibility to 270 UK funding providers. It is the most comprehensive guide to postgraduate funding available, with the inclusion of The Grants Register.

'Postgraduate funding is very different from that of further and undergraduate education because it’s so fragmented and very little of it is automatic. The database is sure to be welcomed by students who will no longer have to hunt around to find the money they need. It is a natural extension to our other well-established postgraduate products and services, enabling students to search for courses and funding in one place,' says Mike Hill, chief executive at Graduate Prospects.

'Palgrave Macmillan is happy to be working in partnership with Graduate Prospects to provide students with such a valuable resource as the national postgraduate funding database, which will enable a greater audience access to the UK part of the data available in The Grants Register,' adds David Bull, publishing director for Palgrave Macmillan, which publishes The Grants Register.

Prospects Postgraduate Funding Database will interact with the postgraduate course search on prospects.ac.uk, which has over 55,000 courses and research opportunities, cementing the company’s status as the most comprehensive information source for postgraduate study.

Supporting Prospects postgraduate online services are a number of publications available in university careers services including Prospects Postgraduate Directory, Prospects Postgraduate Funding Guide and Prospects Postgrad.
