Latest news: Supermarket creates 100 graduate jobs

German supermarket giant Aldi is providing a welcome boost for UK graduates. 01/08/2012

The company is promising over 100 new positions for graduates with a minimum 2:1 degree.

A place on the Aldi Area Manager Graduate Training Programme guarantees a £40,000 starting salary, which rises to £63,500 after four years.

Aldi's head of graduate recruitment, Richard Holloway, said, 'Aldi is looking to recruit more than 100 graduates this year, more than ever before. And with a rolling recruitment deadline, this will continue into next year.

'We're looking for outstanding candidates who can offer something beyond academic achievements. Strong personalities, work experience, hobbies and leading teams at university are key strengths we have identified,' Mr Holloway added.

The supermarket chain is increasing its presence in the UK in the coming 12 months, expanding stores and opening new ones. It plans to create over 3,000 new jobs, hiring across all parts of the business.
