Entry requirements
A good honours degree (equivalent to a British 2:2 or above), or an equivalent professional qualification. Applicants with extensive suitable experience may be considered. A strong interest in the challenges of strategic communication as evident in a statement of about 500 words which describes the following: the reasons you want to join the programme, and what you hope to gain from the experience. Two references that confirm your capacity to successfully engage in postgraduate study. Some candidates may be invited for interviews.

Course description
This programme is an innovative personal, professional and academic development course, which has been designed to cater for the growing demand for independent-thinking communication managers who can assist organisations to respond in a fast-changing, international environment. The programme will prepare you for a career in international organisations including the UN, NGOs such as the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent, the Foreign Office and British Council, public relations consultancies and in-house communication departments, as well as for an academic career. It will develop your skills and knowledge in advanced applied communication at a global level. You will be offered a balanced postgraduate education, developing advanced theoretical knowledge, practical insights and professional skills. Optional visits to industry, European public relations conferences and annual Brussels seminars are offered to explore current issues in public relations and communication management theory and practice. The flexible and internationally-oriented structure of the course offers an opportunity to spend part of your studies abroad.

Digital Communication
Public Affairs and Lobbying
Fundraising and Sponsorship

In Semester 2, you will study:
Applied Communication: Theoretical Concepts and Principles
Applied Communication Management
Quantitative and Qualitative Research Methods

In Semester 3, you will complete a Master's dissertation.
