A minimum of a second-class UK degree in any subject, or an equivalent internationally recognised qualification, is accepted for this course.

All applicants are considered on an individual basis and those without an honours degree may also be considered on the basis of work experience, professional qualifications and the relevance of the programme to their current professional role.

Course content

The CIM-accredited MSc in Marketing at Kent Business School equips you with up-to-date detailed theoretical knowledge alongside relevant practical experience enabling you to run successful marketing campaigns for any business, in any part of the world.

Taught by our expert staff through interactive and applied learning, explore the fundamental concepts of marketing including consumer behaviours, analytics and marketing strategy alongside innovative areas of the field including digital marketing, innovation management, marketing across cultures and corporate responsibility. Apply your newfound expertise via a series of consultancy work with real businesses.

You also have access to our ASPIRE centre, a purpose-built entrepreneurial lab where you can develop, plan and launch your own start-up business.

MSc Marketing is also available with an optional Industrial Placement.

Industrial Placement

Industrial placements are the perfect way for you to enhance your career prospects and deepen your understanding of a specific area of expertise. This MSc programme is available with the option to take an in-company or self-employed industrial placement of up to 12 months (visa dependent), allowing you to gain work experience in the UK or overseas.

Please see our International website for entry requirements by country and other relevant information. Due to visa restrictions, international fee-paying students cannot study part-time unless undertaking a distance or blended-learning programme with no on-campus provision.

English language entry requirements

The University requires all non-native speakers of English to reach a minimum standard of proficiency in written and spoken English before beginning a postgraduate degree.

Applicants who are required to meet an English language condition may be able to study a pre-sessional course in English for Academic Purposes through Kent International Pathways.

Fees and funding

KBS has a wide range of funding opportunities for postgraduate students, which include Scholarships, Bursaries, the Kent Business School Loyalty Award for University of Kent undergraduates and the KBS Early Bird Discount which equates to 10% off tuition fees (apply by 31 March 2023 and pay course deposit by 30 April 2023).
