This department is part of a strong research grouping in digital humanities at the OU, and hosts a number of funded research projects of which Dr Elton Barker is Principal Investigator: HESTIA (with colleagues at Southampton, Oxford and Birmingham), Google Ancient Places (with colleagues at Southampton, Edinburgh and UC Berkeley) and Pelagios (with Southampton and the Austrian Institute of Technology).We welcome enquiries from students who would like to explore the potential of digital classics, including pedagogical applications.
