Turkey's public employment service is called ISKUR . By law, the state must act to provide workers with jobs suitable for their qualifications and to supply employers with qualified workers. ISKUR provides vocational guidance and takes measures to improve workers' occupational qualifications and to act as intermediary in concluding workers' labour contracts. To use this service as a foreigner you would have to be a resident and, to be a resident, you would have to be already employed. Therefore it is very difficult for a UK student or graduate to use this service.
Not all universities in Turkey offer a careers service facility. Those that do offer a service may charge a nominal amount for advice and guidance. There is no centralised careers advice service in the country nor is there a list available to view institutions that do offer a service. For information about careers service advice it is advisable to contact each university directly.
