Algonquin College, Ottawa, Canada, is one of the largest colleges in Canada offering baccalaureate degrees, diplomas, university transfers, and graduate certificates. About 1,000 of those students are international students. The Language Institute accepts students year round who wish to prepare for college admission. The College can make conditional offers of admission for students planning to study English as a Second Language (ESL) at the Language Institute.
Algonquin programs focus on both theory and applied studies, and we work closely with local industry experts to ensure that our curriculum meets the needs of employers. Many programs offer students the opportunity to complete co-op work placements with our industry partners or field work placements with local agencies and organizations. Study in Ottawa, Canada's Capital, the fourth largest city in Canada with over 1,800 private advanced technology companies. Ottawa is known as “Silicon Valley North” and Algonquin students have the opportunity to complete internships with companies in Ottawa leading to post-graduate employment opportunities. Graduates of two year diplomas may apply for two year work permits in their field of study!
Algonquin College: a leader in MOBILE Education All students entering into our MOBILE LEARNING programs are expected to have and use a laptop or mobile computing device that meets or exceeds the recommended hardware requirements as designated by the program. Students in mobile learning programs will be provided access to a suite of industry leading software and online resources. MLP students will use their devices to enhance their learning experience in and out of the classroom, obtain and work with course materials, participate in collaborative and mlearning environments and become skilled, confident users of the technologies used within an educational environment and workplace. |
