Postgraduate study is available across all three Faculties, with an impressive and expanding portfolio offering LLM, MSc, MA, PGCE, MCh and MBA awards. Study at postgraduate level covers the following subject areas: Business and LawThe stunning £8m Business and Law building provides a contemporary, dynamic learning environment for students in the Business School and Department of Law and Criminology. PGCEs cover Primary, Secondary and Post-Compulsory education. Extensive professional development opportunities are also available, with a wide choice of MA and Postgraduate Certificate pathways. English and HistoryThe Department of English and History is an energetic community offering a diverse range of subjects. Students are encouraged to read critically, think innovatively, question, and, above all, reflect on their own academic and creative practices. MA programmes are available in creative writing, english, history and culture, and women's narrative.
HealthThe Faculty of Health is one of the main providers of education for healthcare professionals in Merseyside and the North West. Based in a £14m purpose-built centre of excellence, teaching and learning resources are student-focused and second to none. Leading edge clinical skills facilities include simulation suites and laboratories with industry standard equipment to give students as realistic a learning experience as possible. The Faculty's responsive and high quality courses offer extensive opportunities for professional development. Postgraduate provision covers cognitive behavioural psychotherapy, health and social care, respiratory practice and three MCh (Master of Surgery) awards. Natural and Geographical SciencesThe Department of Natural, Geographical and Applied Sciences offers a friendly and supportive environment with a strong community spirit and excellent ICT and laboratory facilities. Recognising the increasing importance of an understanding of biodiversity and its management, the department offers an MSc in Conservation Management. The course places an emphasis on fieldwork, biological identification skills and experience of a broad range of management issues.
Performing ArtsThe £5 million Centre for Performing Arts boasts a fully equipped scene dock, two theatres, three dance studios, four performance studios, three rehearsal rooms, and costume, props and scenic design workshops. Postgraduate study is facilitated through an MA in Making Performance, developing a detailed understanding of the cultural and social context of performance and its practice. Social and Psychological SciencesSocial and Psychological Sciences is one of the largest and most innovative departments at Edge Hill University. Home to a thriving research culture, students enjoy an engaging and stimulating experience with access to cutting edge facilities. The department offers postgraduate programmes in psychology, youth and community work and international childhood studies (subject to validation).
