Courses designed for success

Our range of taught postgraduate courses are designed to develop in-depth knowledge in a specialist field of study. All foster skills that are valuable in a professional context, such as analysis, independent critical enquiry and effective communication. Many have been designed in consultation with our contacts in business, the public services and the professions to have direct practical applications in the workplace. Others are oriented more towards fostering research skills and furthering an academic career.

Our students are equipped with a wide range of facilities and resources to help in their studies. The latest, state-of-the-art equipment is available in our teaching spaces while constant investment in new technologies provides every opportunity for academic success.

An excellent standard of support is offered to all our students including financial advice, counselling, faith support, careers advice and help with accommodation.

Accommodation

All three of our campuses provide high-quality on-site accommodation in a range of furnished self-catering residences offering en suite or shared bathroom facilities. Where possible, postgraduate students are allocated accommodation along with other postgraduate or more mature students.

Nottingham - a cosmopolitan city of culture and creativity

With a student population of around 60,000 and home to two outstanding universities, Nottingham is a hugely popular place to live, study and work.

A proud multicultural, multi-faith city, Nottingham has enjoyed significant investment in recent years, exemplified by the magnificent revamping of the Old Market Square. The city boasts a vast range of cultural and entertainment venues providing something to sit every taste. The new Nottingham Contemporary gallery, opened in 2009, is the latest addition to Nottingham's artistic scene, while Rock City and the Trent FM Arena attract some of the biggest names in music to the city.
