After completing a Bachelors degree in cultural studies and working for a few years in fashion retail, Alexandra Woithe decided to study the Masters of Fashion and Textiles at RMIT after it was recommended to her by the Ranke Heinemann Institute in Germany.

"I was told it had great teaching facilities and experienced lecturers. It provided me with a unique opportunity to study management with a specific focus on the industry which I believe is a great benefit than just studying management in general."

She also hopes to get a great insight into the global fashion industry by "graduating from a university with a great international reputation."

Once she finishes Alexandra hopes to further internationalise her career by working in India or Hong Kong before returning to Europe. A diverse mix of students has helped her to gain more information about international markets;

"It is a great experience to study with people from all over the world and to share experiences with them. It has helped me a lot to get an insight into the global fashion industry."

Ansgar Harmeier, Master of Communication

"Having a journalism and public relations professional background, this program with its wide choice of courses seemed to be broad enough to offer insight into the diverse field of the communications area.

I really liked that most of the teachers were still working in the communications industry and were not purely academics.

For my personal and professional development this has been a fantastic and unique experience."
