Virtual Tour: Take a Tour of the Campus

Located in 130 hectares of beautiful parkland on the outskirts of Norwich, the University campus offers award-winning accommodation, sporting, social and cultural services all in one unique location. The University has continually invested in the enhancement of its facilities, with new teaching space, extended learning support and careers resources, and an expanded library service amongst developments over the last few years.

We have around 3,500 student rooms available, all are fully furnished, centrally heated and grouped round a shared kitchen. Accommodation is self-catering, but if you feel like a change from cooking for yourself, there are plenty of places to eat and drink on campus. International postgraduates new to the University are guaranteed accommodation in their first year, provided that they meet certain requirements.

Sporting facilities encompass the multi-million Sportspark, which includes an Olympic-sized swimming pool, fitness centre, athletics track and climbing wall and is consistently ranked as having the best student sports facilities in the UK. The University also hosts a biannual International Literary Festival which has included famous names such as Ian McEwan and Kazuo Ishiguro (both Alumni of UEA's Creative Writing course) and is home to the world famous Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts, which houses the Robert and Lisa Sainsbury Collection - one of the greatest art collections of the twentieth century.

Norwich - the perfect location

University of East Anglia

A friendly, easy-going, and safe place to live, the bustling centre of Norwich is just a few minutes by bus from the University. The historic city is one of the top ten shopping venues in the UK and its cinemas, theatres, pubs and clubs offer a lively social life.

Norwich has all the characteristics of a 'university city'. A major commercial and thriving cultural centre, it is steeped in history and retains its distinctive character. The city boasts a vibrant blend of independent stores, small specialist shops, major high street chains and the country's largest six-day open-air market, set amidst a maze of pretty medieval cobble-stoned lanes and alleys. It also has good bus and rail connections to the rest of the UK and having its own airport ensures easy access to the Continent with connections to 200 cities worldwide.

"I learnt to think, question and be inspired at UEA, which in turn has helped me to hopefully inspire others, whether on a personal or professional level. Most of all I had a life-enhancing time."

Executive Vice President and Managing Director (Grey Global), former Chair (Visit London) and former Executive Chairman (Saatchi & Saatchi)
