Evgenia completed her Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) at BPP University Law School, and knew that this was where she wanted to study the Legal Practice Course (LPC) too
Tell us about the course...
The LPC is effectively your first year in practice, so I would encourage all students to show integrity, enthusiasm and an eagerness to learn.
What is the best bit about studying the LPC?
The small group sessions, as you get to interact directly with your tutors and peers - and work towards finding a practical solution to a problem that you may actually encounter in practice. Having previously completed the GDL, I can testify that this approach is overwhelmingly successful. It enabled me to reach my full potential on the course.
What are you hoping to do after graduation?
I'm exploring opportunities in the legal field and, although competition is fierce, I hope that the confidence boost that the LPC has provided will land me my dream job.
What advice would you give to other students considering the LPC?
Make the most of it from the very start. Immediately get to grips with the essence of the course, and hone and perfect your exam techniques - after all, your grades do matter. If you've opted for last-minute cramming throughout your academic career, you might wish to seriously reconsider your approach - it won't carry you far on the LPC. You should also sign up for pro bono work.
