About Active Assistance

Who we are

Active Assistance Group, a UK based care agency in Sevenoaks, Kent provides live-in and live-out care services for physically disabled adults and children. We are a leading specialist provider in supporting people with spinal injuries and neurological conditions across England and Wales.

A truly rewarding career

Providing physically disabled children and adults with personal assistance can be a truly gratifying and extremely fulfilling career.

Being a personal care assistant (PA) with Active Assistance is a great way to gain valuable experience and recognised qualifications, which are invaluable to further your career in the health, social or welfare sectors.

We look for people who are enthusiastic, committed and have excellent communication skills.

Whilst studying Physiotherapy I worked as a PA with people with spinal cord injury and Muscular Dystrophy. This gave me invaluable experience and an understanding of challenges that clients face in their own home. It also gave me an opportunity to see how professionals work together in the community. The PA experience enabled me to find a direction in my career and I am now working as a Care Service Manager for Active Assistance which I find to be a fulfilling and rewarding professional practice.

For those who wish to further their training and career development within Active Assistance Group, we offer a nationally recognised qualification in health and social care.

I have a degree in Textile Design, Health and Social Care was not my intended career path. I joined Active Assistance as a PA at the end of 2005, worked as a PA for over two years before progressing into the Assessor Team. Opportunities continued, so after a few more years I progressed into the training team. As the company grew, I was promoted to Training Manager, a role in which I now oversee the day to day running of training and development at Active Assistance. Opportunities continue to present themselves to our PAs, within the training team, and in other areas of the business.
