Water & Wastewater Treatment
At AECOM, we understand the constant challenge of maintaining the clean water supply to all of our homes and ensuring that all our waste water is comprehensively treated to ensure the ecological balance of our environment.
Our experts deliver comprehensive services from concept to completion and beyond that help ensure sustainable results for our clients. We are knowledgeable in all types of clean water and waste water treatment, pumping stations, Combined Sewer Overflows and related issues.
Our staff analyse impacts of potential strategies ranging from the ecological to the regulatory and the socio-economic, as well as
from the standpoint of engineering feasibility.
Projects are of a broad range of size and nature however you will be afforded the opportunity to work on projects dealing with the transport and treatment of waste water and clean water, working closely with Process, Civil and Mechanical Engineers within the team to give you a holistic view of each project.
Job responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Production of cable calculations, cable schedules, and circuit schedules
- Production of lighting designs
- Production of MCC/ Control Panel details including ICA information
- Production of electrical specification documents
- Utilise Amtech, Dialux and Lighting Reality software design programmes
- Liaise with internal and external design teams, clients and contractors as appropriate

- Relevant work experience would be an advantage
- Enthusiastic, hard-working, technically proficient, with ambition and drive
Qualifications and experience requirements
- BEng in Electrical Engineering (2:1 or equivalent)
- An MEng in Electrical Engineering (2:1 or equivalent) would be preferred
- Basic computer skills essential (Word/Excel) and good report writing skills beneficial
