Job description

With placements across several areas of IT, this scheme is an opportunity for you to work on key programmes of work to support a business rapidly changing due to digital demand. You’ll be primarily based in our Guildford Head Office, but there will be exposure to, and potentially opportunities to work in other Allianz branches as well as our offshore office in India.

Over two years, you’ll spend six monthly rotations in different professions working on a wide range of transformational business projects. During this time you’ll be learning, developing your skills and helping to solve real business challenges through innovation - all with plenty of support from experienced managers and peers. You’ll be able to see for yourself how your work adds value to the business and apply your newly-enhanced knowledge to positively impact and improve our future, becoming fully prepared for a career in IT. By the end of the scheme you will have developed an understanding of project management, business analysis, information security, development and infrastructure management.

What you’ll be doing

Support, Training and Progress
Allianz is committed to supporting students in their studies. You’ll undertake a great technical training programme aligned with your rotations and we’ll fully fund and support you through a professional qualification with the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) where you’ll gain your Certificate in Insurance (Cert CII), giving you that all-important financial services knowledge. You’ll have direct access to our buddying and mentoring schemes, which are a great way to make connections throughout the business and to learn more about our work. We’ll also put you in touch with other Allianz graduates, so that you can share your experiences with your peers and build a network with our business managers of tomorrow.

Once you’ve qualified your learning doesn’t stop there. You’ll have the opportunity to attend leadership and development programmes with your peers from across the business, as well as opportunities to meet and learn from colleagues across the Allianz Group. Your further steps with us will follow our IT professional development framework which has been accredited by the British Computer Society (BCS).

Person requirements

Valid work permit for permanent work in the UK without restrictions after graduation.

Qualifications and experience requirements

Honours degree in business technology, business or a similar subject achieved or on target for a 2:1 or above.
