The Allianz Management Trainee (AMT) graduate scheme provides an opportunity to gain a breadth of experience spanning multiple business functions to equip you with all the knowledge you need to become a future leader. The scheme consists of four placements:
Commercial Underwriting (nine months). For this placement you’ll most likely be placed in one of our regional branches but there are some underwriting roles in head office as well. As an underwriting-led business, we pride ourselves on technical excellence in the marketplace; you’ll learn to underwrite at least one of our commercial products, and gain exposure to the world of underwriters, business developers, brokers, delegated authorities and many more.
Sales/marketing (six months). You could be an account executive for one of our partners or you could be based with one of our marketing teams working on our market leading pet insurance product with Petplan. Graduates get the opportunity to work alongside marketing agencies to develop our websites and marketing campaigns as well as manage relationships with our corporate clients.
Operations (six months). Our Operations function is crucial to ensuring that Allianz is ahead of the competition when it comes to our IT systems, facilities, and efficiency. This rotation typically has a more project based focus, and often provides graduates with the opportunity to interact with other parts of the business.
Claims (six months). Claims is one of the biggest functions in Allianz and it is crucial that we relentlessly drive innovation and improvement of our claims function. Graduates are typically based in a head office role, offering work that delivers tangible results to the business.
Support, Training and Progress
Allianz has a strong focus on supporting students in their study. You’ll be assigned dedicated study days and the funding you need to successfully complete the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Advanced Diploma in Insurance (ACII). You’ll have direct access to our buddying and mentoring schemes, which are great ways to make connections throughout the business and to learn more about our work. In addition, you’ll have opportunities to visit our key stakeholders and we’ll also put you in touch with other Allianz graduates, so that you can share your experiences with your peers and build a network with the business managers of tomorrow.
Once you’ve qualified, your learning doesn’t stop there - you’ll have the opportunity to attend development programmes with your peers across the business, as well as opportunities to meet and learn from colleagues across the Allianz Group.
